About the event

What does it really take to rest, relax and rejuvenate?

We believe it takes a combination of our Nervous systems being regulated- shifting from fight or flight or shutting down and shifting into connection and safety. It also can take a deep knowing that you are resourced. Resourced by your community, your world, your inner strength and your vitality. In this weekend retreat, we will be exploring our Nervous Systems through the lens of the Polyvagal theory, inspired by the work of Deb Dana in her book Anchored. We will experience being resourced by creativity through artwork and connection to our Natural World- the Spirits of Land and plant beings. In a powerful meditation we will use sound and visualization to let go of inner blocks and allow in new energy, and we will connect with eachother around the fire to participate in a Fire ceremony focused on bringing in the balance of the Autumn Equinox. Of course, you will also be nourished by amazing food and have the opportunity to play, rest, receive a massage and have solo time if you choose!

Join the Interwoven Oasis Community at this weekend retreat that includes:

  • Workshops on Nervous system self care & expression through creativity
  • Connecting with the Spirit of Land and Nature

The details:

Arrive Friday night between 5-7 pm to get settled before dinner.

After dinner we will get to know each other around the fire.

On Saturday morning we will have a delicious breakfast, then go into a meditation led by Beth.

Embark on an ancient and sacred journey through your chakras, coupling visualizations with the powerful vibrations of sacred beej mantras to harmonize and align your energy centers. Open the mystical gateways to self-discovery as you dive deep into the unique and transformative energies of each chakra.

Next we will be learning about the nervous system states based on the Polyvagal theory with Cassidy. Through breath and awareness we will explore within ourselves in a gentle yet powerful way. Learning about these states and your unique way of experiencing them can lead to more understanding of yourself and you can begin to know how to be with these sensations and eventually shift them. We will then express what we have discovered through the art medium of your choice. Having an outside representation of your inner experience can help you remember what you experienced and make it more tangible. It also can be fun and nurturing for your heart and spirit!

After a delicious lunch we will be opening to the resources of the Natural World with Shannon.

Nature spirit connection:

Together we will practice techniques for opening space and clearing "human clutter" in order to receive the messages of the surrounding natural world. We will practice engaging our clair senses and have the choice to engage in a  guided group or individual plant/nature spirit mediumship. There will be time for journaling and group sharing of the experience.

Next is Free Time!

Some of you will choose to sign up with Laura Razia for bodywork during this time.

"Deepen in your personal retreat experience with a one-hour massage & bodywork session. Unwind and relax your body, allowing stressors to fall away. Massage works on the body and nervous system to help restore the recipient to a more easeful state. This individual one-on-one time can enhance and help integrate the benefits of your overall retreat participation."

You will have several hours to explore the property, go to town or a nearby nature hike or just stick around and relax. Weather permitting the property does have a canoe or black innertubes to explore the Tomorrow River with.

  • Hike at nearby park- Nelsonville Community Sanctuary, a 40 acre nature trail located just down the street
  • Lake Elaine is just a 15 minute walk south or ride bikes along the Ice Age Trail.
  • We will be less than a 10 minute drive from Lake Emily.

Free time will lead into Dinner and afterwards Beth will lead us in an Arti Fire Ceremony,  a sacred ritual where we offer light to the divine, invoking blessings and purification for our minds and hearts through the transformative power of the fire. This special ceremony honors the fall equinox, symbolizing the harmonious balance between light and dark, inviting inner reflection, and embracing the natural rhythms of the season as we cultivate gratitude and prepare for introspection.

After breakfast on Sunday morning we will have a closing circle where we will get to reflect on the weekend and what we are bringing with us into our daily lives.

Check out is at noon.
